Join Humboldt Baykeeper, Humboldt Surfrider and Ocean Conservancy on Sunday, May 23 at 10 a.m. at the Gazebo in Old Town Eureka (F and 2nd streets).
The Western Alliance for Nature is holding simultaneous demonstrations in all coastal counties of California to protest the International Whaling Commission’s proposal to lift a 1986 moratorium and allow commercial whaling to resume. Baykeeper, Surfrider and Ocean Conservancy will be gathering signatures on a petition to President Obama asking him to keep his promise to oppose whaling and direct the U.S. delegation to the IWC to support the continuation of the moratorium.
