Zion I & The Grouch: Healing Humboldt with Surfrider

West Coast hip-hop heroes Zion I and The Grouch bring their "Healing Of The Nation" tour to Humboldt Brewery, Wednesday, March 23 at 9:30 p.m. For their Arcata stop, $3 of every online advance ticket sale through zioniandthegrouch.com goes directly to Humboldt Surfrider!

The tour celebrates Zion I and The Grouch's sophomore collaborative effort, Heroes in the Healing of the Nation, the much-anticipated follow-up to the group's 2006 critically acclaimed Heroes in the City of Dope. This time around the group invites listeners everywhere to join them on their quest in channeling their highest selves.

"Anyone changing other peoples lives for the better is a hero to me," explains The Grouch. "People are going through a difficult transition these days," adds Zumbi. "We want this album to aid in that process."

Opening acts include Blu, The Shotgun Wedding Quintet and Distant Relatives. The show is 21-and-over. Humboldt Brewery is located at 856 10th St. For more information, visit humboldtbrews.com.
