KSLG Turns 10?

Humbrews

Friday, April 29th

9pm-1am

Almost ten years ago, KSLG was hatched in the hopes that Humboldt County would embrace modern rock music at a time when it was wholly unavailable on local airwaves.

Ten years later, O.G. hosts John Matthews and Dr. Syd Reagan (along with "new" hosts like Monica Topping, Jen Savage, Myles to Midnight, and Melissa) still keep you company, tell you about good music, and pass along community information.

This means we're having a get-together.  Strix Vega is playing!  We'll bring you some presents, fun, and music.  Each DJ will spin a custom set of tunes, and we'll do the classic slug-eating contest.  There's a freaking PHOTOBOOTH, PEOPLE!

Also, the first 50 Slug Club members get in free!  All you have to do to join is click here and "like" it!

Looking California, feeling Minnesota?

Chris Cornell circa 1989

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell kicked off his solo acoustic tour in Aspen last night.

From Rolling Stone:

The tour comes midway through Soundgarden's sessions for their first studio album since 1996's Down On The Upside. The LP is being produced by Adam Kasper, who has worked with Pearl Jam, the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age. "Everything's going very quickly," Cornell says. "We've been having a great time."

Sounds promising...
